Being a member of the Dreamfar Triathlon team gives you access to the group workouts throughout the season, the socials, and tips in the newsletter, but it doesn't provide you with a detailed, daily training plan to follow. You will be more successful and avoid injury if you follow a detailed training plan to get you to your race. If you're looking for a plan to follow, there are many for sale on TrainingPeaks or you can also find them in triathlon training books, like those by Joel Friel, or Matt Fitzgerald. In my experience, training plans are much more effective when they are combined with a coach. The coach helps to hold you accountable, and keep you on track if you get sidetracked by life, injury, travel. The coach can also make sure that the plan is the right amount of challenge for you, and increase the challenge as you go. Sometimes athletes choose what a plan that is too easy, or too challenging.
As a USAT Level 2 Certified Coach for over 17 years, I’ve coached hundreds of athletes to the triathlon finish line. As an experienced endurance athlete, two-time Ironman triathlete, ultra distance trail runner and marathoner, I believe that training for sports is an analogy for life. The skills that you develop through training can help you to perform better in all aspects of your life. I work with athletes of all ages who are new to running or triathlon, or who are taking on a new distance. The training meets you wherever you are currently, and gradually progresses as you do. If you'd like to explore the option of monthly coaching, email me and we'll set up a call to discuss your goals, and how I can support you.
My training programs take a holistic approach, taking in to consideration the athlete’s goals, as well as current level of fitness, prior experience, lifestyle, and outside commitments, to create a perfect fit. I’m accessible to my athletes, whether it’s to listen and provide feedback, or boost their motivation with a pep talk. Monthly coaching packages start at $180/month and can include some of the following, based on the level of coaching:
